“How has the wedding season been? How have you been?!” One of my brides (who I have met several occasions and done makeup for as a bridesmaid) excitedly asked me the other day. I smiled. I have been in this biz for 7 years now & it keeps me grounded to see that my worries in the past such as “Will enough people book me?” Or “Can I actually make it happen?” has dissipated in a way. Being a business owner has been challenging but I make sure to take a good look at this passion project I have built. I make sure to celebrate the tiny wins and gather them together. I answered my client with “It’s been one heck of a ride.” The team is now going through a rebrand where I can offer more than our love for beauty and weddings. As most of you know, I’m also the Director of a photography/videography company, @honeyandheirloom, which will share the same umbrella of this brand. Still under the works but slowly getting there. So, stay tuned and see what kind of stuff my brain comes up with. Who knows, I just might gather the courage to post videos of my goofy self. 🙃 With love, Alex ❤️
